-          The global warming generated because of us, human beings and our irresponsible way of live, without any conscience of external costs of our consumerism

-          Future of the earth if we don’t change the way that we are living today

-          Things that we can do to change this probable future

 

Review of the video

The movie talks about a possible earth future if we don’t stop the global warming now. Show us how earth will change year by year, decade by decade since 2009 until 2100 narrating story of Lucy, a fiction character that was born in 2009 in Miami, and survive this earth destruction.

At the beginning is all perfect for Lucy, had a great family, a beautiful house, lived in a great city, all was normal. But one day, at age of six years old, a tornado hit the coast of Miami and devastated the city. This show us the beginning of earth changes because our way of live, that we consider normal, but is an unhealthy way for the planet, a dirty way that don’t take conscience of the consequences.

After this Lucy had to move to San Diego, but time don’t stop, earth is dying and the Governments don’t agree to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, so food started to be a problem. So Lucy’s Father gets a new job, he and his family moved to New York, a complete sustainable city in that future. Were great times for Lucy, but only one sustainable city is not enough to stop global warming. Temperatures increased 4°c, and the sea increased too. Government tried to stop this throwing a gas to the atmosphere and it worked, they cooled the earth but only for a short time. They only gets to destroy ozone layer, and with this all human hope to return to this “gold” age.

But easy, we are on time to do something, fortunately this is a fiction story, but we must act NOW!!!

Three facts that I consider important and wanna tell you my friend...

 

1. Governments have to agree, all of us have to agree to stop this unsustainable way of live

 

2. Small changes could do important things

3. We have to take conscience of the cost of our acts for the planet

Hello reader, my name is Fabián this is my blog. I'm an Architecture student in Universidad de Chile and now i'm going to tell you about my holidays.

In a Word, it were awesome, at the beginnig they were pretty boring, I only went to the gym everyday in january and saw some friends. It was good because let me lose some weight and get myself out of the house. Was difficult to me break the inertia and switch off the tv sometimes. I searched work too in january, but I didn't find one, so i can't saved some money for february, but my parent gave me some to survive!. In february some friends and I rented a house in Maitencillo for a week to go party and surfing. I met a lot of people there, surfing at day and dancing in the night. We were to Maitencillo without a rented house, we arrived there and started searching for a empty house to rent! Was very difficult, we spent all the first day in this but finally, arround five o'clock, appeared a friend of a friend and he know a guy who had a house, so we closed the deal, leaved the car in the house and went to the beach to saw the sunset. Was a very intense week, but it was awesome! After this week y returned to Santiago, but one day later me and my famili returned to Maitencillo and the surf continued! I spent a whole week again in the beach but this time with other friends. Was a quiet week, fun too but not so intense like the other one. After this, Santiago were waiting for me, very sad but real, thinking in first day of class, the cold winter, etc. Now that i'm in class its not so bad, I already get use to it so the sadness of march disappear!
